Dear Friends, As the outdoor show season comes to a close, we wish to thank those who supported our facility and attended our shows this summer. We hope we met your expectations for a quality horse show focusing on friendly competition, affordability and outstanding customer service.We now turn our attention to the Fall and Winter horse shows and Clinics. Entries
Entries will close on the Monday before each show. Proof of negative Coggins test performed within one year of the show date will be required for each horse and must be submitted with entry. Likewise, all non-showing horses brought to the show facility must show proof of negative Coggins test to the show secretary upon arrival. Fall 2007 Dressage Show Schedule
Stabling
10×10 permanent wood stalls with door in permanent barn. 10×10 wooden outdoor stalls with doors. Stabling will be available at $50.00/overnight, if pre-paid. The charge will be $65.00 if fees are not received by Monday of the show week. Stalls in the show barn will fill first unless outdoor stalls are requested. Overnight stabling has priority over day stabling. Day stabling, if available, will be charged at $35.00 per day. Bedding will be available for purchase at $6.50/bag. Requests for bedding should be included on your entry form. STALL RESERVATIONS WILL NOT BE HELD WITHOUT PAYMENT. Stall fees are not refundable. Reservations and fees must be received no later than Monday of the show week. Stalls will be available on Saturday after 3:00pm. Credentials
No numbers will be released until proper credentials and all signatures are in order. All horses brought to the show facility must present a negative Coggins test performed within one year of the show date.
Scratches / Refunds
The Show Secretary should be notified immediately if you cannot attend so that people on the waiting list can be contacted. A full refund less office fee if the secretary is notified before the closing date. After closing date, one-half of entry fee less office fee with a veterinarian certificate within 3 days after the competition OR if ride times can be filled from waiting list. In the event of the cancellation of a competition due to extraordinary circumstances, refunds will be issued. No stall fees will be refunded.Parking Please follow designated parking patterns and posted signs. Wet ground conditions may prohibit or limit parking on all areas of the show grounds. In an effort to keep the show grounds safe and accessible at all times we ask that you cooperate with the show staff and follow all designated parking patterns. A special area will be designated for those showing off their trailer.
Management
The horse show management reserves the right to itself to refuse, accept conditionally, or to cancel any entries, disqualify any riders or exhibitors and to prohibit exhibition of entries, without claim for damages; to combine, add, divide or delete classes, add or substitute judges, or make any changes required by scheduling circumstances.
Class Descriptions
USDF Introductory A & B (Rider) classes are open to Juniors and Amateurs with limited riding experience. USDF Introductory A & B (Horse) classes are open to any rider showing a green horse in its first year of dressage competition.Training Level (Novice) is open to Juniors and Amateurs who have never won four blue ribbons at Training Level and have never shown at First Level or above.
Prizes
Six ribbons will be awarded in all classes. If entries warrant, separate Junior sections may be offered in any class.High Score Ribbons will be presented for each test level; Walk-Trot (Rider), Walk-Trot (Horse), Training Level (Novice), Training Level (Open), First Level and Second Level. The awards will be calculated by averaging together the test scores per horse/rider combination per test level.
Ring Sizes
A 20×40 meter competition arena will be used for all Introductory Level tests. A 20×60 meter competition arena will be used for all other tests.
Schooling
Schooling will be permitted in the show ring before and after each show day. On Saturday evening the ring will close at 7:00pm. Show ring will close 30 minutes prior to the start of the show. An enclosed outdoor sand schooling area will be available and designated as such, weather and conditions permitting.
Attire
Riders must be neatly and appropriately attired when entering the show ring. Please refer to the USEF rulebook for permissible tack and equipment.
Please Note
· Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. Dogs are not permitted in the show office, indoor viewing area or concession area.
· No Smoking permitted inside main building or around stabling areas.
· No alterations are to be made to the permanent stabling or other facilities by exhibitors.
· A processing fee of $25.00 plus collection fees will be charged for any non-negotiable checks.
· All riders must wear protective headgear while mounted.
· Unless otherwise specified, competition will be run according to USEF rules.
· Ride times will be posted on our website after 5:00pm on the Wednesday before each show.
· All entries showing off their trailer will be charged a $10.00 Day Shipper Fee.
· The horse show will be held outdoors if weather and conditions permit. Please visit our website for any updates pertaining to show venue.
· Randita’s Grill will be serving delicious home-made food throughout the horse show.
Responsibility
Horse on Course, Inc., the Horse Show Managers and their employees and volunteers, herein after referred to as Management, will not be responsible for any damage to a person, animal, or property at the Horse on Course Equestrian Center horse show, nor will Management be responsible for any property lost or destroyed. Each exhibitor shall indemnify and hold harmless from all claims and demands of any kind or nature arising from such exhibitor, his employees, guests, children, animals or property exhibiting on or in the show grounds. THIS SHALL BE A CONDITION OF ENTRY.ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN THE MONDAY PRIOR TO EACH SHOW.
