Hunter/Jumper High Point Awards
HUNTER RIDERS
Each show will award a Best Child Rider, Best Adult Rider and Best Beginner Rider prize to the horse/rider combination that accumulates the greatest number of points while competing in the Hunter sections. The awards will be presented at the conclusion of each horse show. Equitation classes will count toward the High Point award totals. Warm-Up classes will not count toward the High Point award totals.
The Best Child Rider award will be presented to the horse/rider combination whereby the rider is of Junior status (17 years and under as of December 1, 2005).
The Best Adult Rider award will be presented to the horse/rider combination whereby the rider is of Amateur status (18 years and older as of December 1, 2005).
The Best Beginner Rider award will be presented to the horse/rider combination accumulating the most points while competing only in the classes in Ring 2. Maiden Hunters are not eligible for this award. There must be at least (2) riders in a division for points to count toward the Best Beginner Rider Award.
The points for the High Point Awards will be recorded as follows:
- First Place – 15 points
- Second Place – 10 points
- Third Place – 5 points
- Fourth Place – 4 points
- Fifth Place – 3 points
- Sixth Place – 2 points
