Horse on Course - Hunter/Jumper Series

Hunter/Jumper Year End Awards

A Year-end award will be presented to the horse/rider combination accumulating the most points throughout this series in each of the following divisions:

NOTE: Point totals include show results from May, June, July and August Shows.

All competitors (Juniors, Amateurs and Professionals) will automatically be registered for year-end awards. Only points acquired in the Hunter and Jumper sections will count toward year-end award totals. Equitation classes and Warm-Up classes will not count toward year-end award totals. In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by points acquired over fences. The awards will be presented at the last show in the series. Awards will not be mailed; you must pick up your award.

The points for the year-end awards will be recorded as follows:

  • First Place – 15 points
  • Second Place – 10 points
  • Third Place – 5 points
  • Fourth Place – 4 points
  • Fifth Place – 3 points
  • Sixth Place – 2 points
  • Champion – 8 points
  • Reserve – 5 points

Be sure to visit our website to check the point standings throughout the summer.

Sept. 22-23 Hunter/Jumper Championship Show
We have decided to open the show to all who wish to participate. Those who have accumulated 30 points or more throughout the season will receive a special gift bag at the horse show. A Year-end award for the top point winner in each division will be awarded at the conclusion of each division. All classes on the schedule will be included in the Championship show with the exception of the Dover Junior Hunter Challenge. You may show in whichever classes you choose. You are not restricted to just the classes for which you have points. Closing date for stalls is the Monday before the show. If no stall needed, you may register the day of the show (although pre-entries are greatly appreciated by the show secretary). You may use the same entry form as used for the other shows in the schooling show series.
